We were happy to help our CoolWood Partner, Mike The Tree Guy, with this large Willow Oak tree removal. The tree had been damaged previously when a large section of its root system was cut away. We observed evidence of the damage in the struggling canopy (dead limbs, sparse leaves, etc) and a closer inspection showed that the tree was declining and that its structural integrity was seriously compromised.
After following the City of Charlotte’s removal permitting process Mike The Tree Guy was able to remove the tree with no permitting costs or required mitigation. All that remained was executing Mike’s well-developed plan. CoolWood provided equipment including compact loaders, trucks, and a large chipper to help dispose of material. As always it was a pleasure to work with Lomma crane who supplied the large crane required.

The crane raises the piece over the house, landscaping, and other items that could be damaged and moves it to a clear area to be processed.
